All Together now – On the Twelfth Day Of Christmas
The IRS settled for the Partridge,
Pear tree
and Two Turtle Doves.
Three French Hens,
no dice. The Four Calling Birds constantly bickered
. Five Golden Rings had to be converted into cash before someone stole them.
There were the Six Geese a-Laying, but who wanted a goose omelet? Better sell them to the butcher.
Seven Swans a-Swimming, beautiful. Only place to keep them, the White House pool.
Unfortunately, those Eight Maids a-Milking were going to serve time, they would have added spice to the IRS headquarters. Those Nine Ladies Dancing, great entertainment for the Christmas office party.
The Ten Lords a-leaping were British subjects and drank too much tea.
Santori’s Eleven Pipers Piping would be hired to retrofit the aging building.
Twelve Drummers Drumming heralded the announcement – “Congress has passed the Flat Tax. You can go home”. So they did.

Great post! Fantastic pictures and commentary. The picture of the guys running through the office is great!
HUZZAH!!!
Wow! Great wrap-up post. It’s been great reading everyone’s unique take on the 12 Days of Christmas. It was fun…glad it’s done.

Where can I get a copy of Four Calling Birds. I am 68, my sister is 66, another sister is 71 and a younger sister that is 64 and we talk almost everyday on the phone. This would be great print for a Christmas Gift. My email is kmcintee@comcast.net. Thanks
