The other day we took  our dog as we walked through a campground located on a bluff. This is a State Beach and very popular, reservations six months in advance.  January, even though it can be sunny and warm some days, the campground was someone deserted.
We were standing on a stairway which led to the beach below – best guess is 60 to 70 feet below. Â I didn’t have my telescoping lens, so this is as close as I could get.
A perfect day for dipping your toes in the Pacific. A couple of women sat with shoes off, hoping to do just that. The winter tide had gone out and left a painful walk on a sea of rocks. Maybe next time.
