Koda – California Malamute

My daughter rescued her Malamute from our Humane Society when he was about a year old. My husband and I saw him first, one floppy ear and giant paws. I called my daughter, it was love at first sight. He’s now a senior citizen, ten years old, but as frisky as a pup. And, about 130 pounds of lap dog, if you let him. Don’t ever try to do my daughter wrong – grrrrr.

My daughter did her best to keep him still, here’s a look at the dog we affectionately call, Koda-Woda.

An amazing chance encounter with a troop of wild mountain gorillas near Bwindi National Park, Uganda. I held my breath until the end. What a life-changing experience that would be. Enjoy the visuals and sounds.

Summers, Clinton Said to Be Leading Contenders for World Bank

While Summers has expressed interest in the position and has supporters inside the administration, the position would be Clinton’s if she sought it, according to the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity about the private conversations.

Clinton, who said previously she doesn’t plan to remain in her post if President Barack Obama wins a second term, repeatedly has denied having an interest in the World Bank job. State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland repeated those denials yesterday.

Occupy 90210 to Protest “Big Money” During President’s Visit | NBC Los Angeles

Our feeling is there is such a corrupting influence of money and politics and basically it’s the foundational issue from which all of our problems result,” Lauren Steiner, one of the organizers of the protest and rally, told City News Service. “We have to take money out of politics.”

The president will attend a fundraising breakfast Thursday at the Corona del Mar home of Jeff and Nancy Stack. Tickets for the event range from $10,000 for a photo reception and breakfast to $35,800 for breakfast and a meet-and-greet.
