Photoshop Cool

It’s been very HOT here in  SoCal – humid to boot. Time to play with photoshop elements and stay cool. Yesterday we went to the Carlsbad lagoon,  a few minutes from home. One of the shots I took screamed at me – get me out of this lagoon and put me n the Amazon. So, I did. The other is more fantasy.

Have lots to go through and will add the mob scene which was yesterday on the water.

Summertime and the livin’ is easy at the coast

This has been a cool summer for us at the coast, seventy degrees at 2 P.M. today. I think I’ve seen the sun out once this summer in the early morning  - but compared to the St. Louis area where my niece lives , no contest.

Photos from a few summer’s ago. I was walking on the boardwalk below the street when I saw this lone surfer above checking out the wave action.  I think he saw me take his picture, but didn’t seem to mind.

Paddle boards, Puppies and beaches in Carlsbad

You may have seen the shots toward the end of this video  I uploaded to Youtube yesterday – but I wanted you to see the Quicktime clips I put at the beginning – the  water – and the end – the film strip  animation. Wait for the film animation to stop, and the logo to catch fire. I just purchased 250, short animated clips to add to iMovie or any other video software, Mac or PC. Great bargain.

Went to the Carlsbad Lagoon  a few days ago –  a place where dogs play and people paddle board – and enjoy this small strip of beach. High resolution if you want to watch it in full screen.

I tried to post this yesterday but Youtube was having error issues.

Wishing for water

The other day we took  our dog as we walked through a campground located on a bluff. This is a State Beach and very popular, reservations six months in advance.  January, even though it can be sunny and warm some days, the campground was someone deserted.

We were standing on a stairway which led to the beach below – best guess is 60 to 70 feet below.   I didn’t have my telescoping lens, so this is as close as I could get.

A perfect day for dipping your toes in the Pacific. A couple of women sat with shoes off, hoping to do just that. The winter tide had gone out and left a painful walk on a sea of rocks. Maybe next time.
